What’s this all about?
I am starting Faster Farther as a place to document my own adventures, but also to invite friends and family along for the ride, one day at a time.
The name is an interpretation of a maxim common to alpinism, and concerns itself with being brave enough to “do more with less”. This insightful desire has a lot to do with the world we find ourselves in today, and our ability to untangle ourselves from an increasingly hectic life. Faster Farther is about cutting the cords that promise freedom but deliver a life of slavery to technology, work, and the expectations of our peers.
If you can’t take any of that stuff with you when you die, why bother carrying it around when you are yet alive?
